Space for competitors is limited. Decisions regarding the acceptance of applicants are entirely at the discretion of the competition management and are based on the qualifications as evidenced by the biography as outlined under number 6. In case of equal qualifications, decisions are made on the basis of the sequence of registration.
Applicants are not entitled to acceptance, and application does not guarantee a place in the competition.
The registration fee is 180.00 €. After the applicant has received the confirmation of registration, the registration fee must be transferred by the applicant, free of charge to the recipient, by 31st May 2027 at the latest. Every participant who comes to the competition in Düsseldorf will receive 130.00 € of the registration fee back, so that the actual registration fee amounts to only 50.00 €.

Reason for payment: Aeolus Competition, name and instrument
The name of the competitor must be clearly legible on the transfer, even if they do not pay it themselves. The registration fee is non-refundable.
A late or omitted payment of the participation fee will result in the loss of admission to the competition.
Recognised pianists are available to participants free of charge for the competition.
Participants may bring their own piano accompaniment privately and at their own expense. The name of the accompanist must be given when accepting the invitation to the competition.
The organiser of the competition reserves the right to record all events held within the framework of the competition, both acoustically and optically, and to use them for the promotion of the competition.
In particular, the organiser reserves the right to grant radio and television stations approval to broadcast, record and transmit all competition events. The participants are not entitled to any claim for remuneration arising from this.
The competition organisation accepts no liability whatsoever for the instruments and property of the participants. By submitting the application, the participant agrees to the conditions of the competition, including the competition schedule and the compulsory programme.
